TCMU offers a programming for babies and their adults in a safe, inclusive, learning environment. Be sure to check the calendar for up to date information.

Baby + Me Yoga

Baby + Me Yoga is led by a certified yoga instructor. This is a great way for new moms to take care of their bodies while bonding with their little ones.  Babies 4 weeks – 12 months. Click here to see dates, times, and registration information.

Baby + Me Story Time

Fridays at 9:30 a.m.
Join us each Friday at 9:30 AM for a special Story Time for our littlest friends – 4 weeks to 18 months. This Story Time is meant to provide a special setting for adult and baby. Other Story Times are offered at 10 am, 11 am, and 1 pm for all children between 0 and 5!

Parent Workshops

For expectant parents and parents with Babies 0-12 months
Led by: Jessica Hayes (TCMU VP of Education), Lauren Van Pelt (Lactation Consultant) & Carolina Raycroft (TCMU Educator, Mother, & Yoga Instructor)
Featuring: Greenville Professionals on a variety of relevant topics appropriate for new parents, with the opportunity to engage in healthy discussion.

September 17: Returning to Work + Breastfeeding: How Does it Work? with Lauren Van Pelt, RN

International Lactation Consultant and Registered Nurse, Lauren van Pelt, has loved supporting breastfeeding families for the past 30 years. When it comes to breastfeeding and returning to work, knowledge is power. This class will provide moms with the essential information they will need to meet their personal breastfeeding goals during this transition.

October 1: Should I Stay or Should I Go? With Dr. Larisa Coldebella

This workshop will introduce parents to common medical concerns in the infant period, ranging from fever to minor trauma, and when to bring your child to the Emergency Room. We will also provide some tips and tricks to make your ER experience a favorable one.

October 15: Baby Yoga With Carolina Raycroft

Certified Yoga Instructor, Carolina Raycroft, will discuss the benefits of Baby Yoga before leading participants through a Baby Yoga session. Baby Yoga is a great way for new parents to take care of their bodies while bonding with their little ones. Program is appropriate for caregivers with babies ages 4 weeks-12 months only. Expectant parents are also welcome!

October 29: Infant Safety With Lee Penny, Safe Kids Upstate

Did you know that preventable injuries are the leading cause of death for kids in the US? For new families, keeping a little one safe can be overwhelming with the variety of suggestions, recommendations and precautions to take- join us to learn a how some simple steps can save your child’s life. This session will cover Child Passenger Safety, Home Safety, Water Safety and Safe Sleep- with no-fuss, practical tips for every parent or caregiver!

November 12 - Infant Sleep - Megan Hiott, MSN, FNP-C

Megan Hiott, nurse practitioner in pediatric sleep medicine at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate, will discuss infant sleep.  This workshop will focus on realistic expectations of infant sleep, as well as safe sleep practices.  We will discuss strategies to improve sleep in the infant period and provide an overview on common sleep difficulties in infancy.  Expectant parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
