Camp Policies

Low Attendance?
The Museum may cancel camps two weeks out due to low attendance. In the event of a Museum cancellation, guests may choose another camp or receive a refund.

Need to Cancel?
No refunds are offered for camp cancellations. In the event of a cancellation, funds may be moved to another camp if space is available.

Dressing for Camp:
Some camp activities can be messy, so please dress your child in clothes that can get dirty. We also recommend closed-toe shoes and weather appropriate attire for outdoor activities at Bib’s World.

Camper Expectations:
The golden rule applies! Campers are expected to be respectful of others. If our educators have a concern regarding your child’s behavior, our policy is as follows:

  • First incident: We talk with the child to create a strategy for correcting any disruptive behavior.
  • Second incident: We call home or address during pick-up the ongoing issue.
  • Third incident – You will need to pick up your child from camp.

If a child acts out aggressively and endangers other children or behaves in a way that consistently disrupts the camp experience for others, the child will be sent home.  In this extreme scenario your class registration fee will be forfeited.

4-year olds must be potty-trained.

Lunch & Snack:
Please be sure to write on the medical form and to let staff know if your child has any allergies so we can take the necessary precautions. Please note that children will not be permitted to purchase food from our café during camp.

Half-Day Camps: Children must bring their own snack during half-day camps, either from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Full-Day Camps: Children must bring their own lunch during full-day camps that take place from 9 a.m. 4 p.m.

Emergency Medical Forms:
Send in the Emergency Medical Form to Laura Sykes (lsykes@tcmupstate.org) or bring it to the first day of Camp. Please note that your Camper will not be permitted to attend Camp until we have a completed form. It is important to inform the museum in advance if someone other than those listed on this medical form will be picking up your camper. Camp staff will check ID’s every day during pick-up.
