Off the Wall

Off the Wall is a unique exploration space designed to inspire creative self-expression and ignite a passion for learning about the visual, performing and language arts.  Visitors quickly realize that the exhibit will challenge them to ‘see things differently’ as they enter into an upside-down room where chairs hang from overhead and the ceiling is underfoot.  Next, children and families proceed into a rich, whimsical and immersive ‘room of possibilities’ that encourages them to explore and make discoveries. Changeable exhibit elements and art materials rotate on a frequent basis, offering visitors new and varied experiences every visit.  Staff and guest artists regularly guide visitors in the use of real artistic tools and techniques including painting, sculpture, poetry, music, dance, theatre and more.
