Dates and themes for 2018 Fall/Winter Homeschool Program:

August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, December 11

STEAM Exhibits: 10:30am-11:30am

Ages 4—5: Dino Train Exploration
Explore the world of dinosaurs with our fall traveling exhibit, Dino Train. Follow fossilized footprints, recreate habitats, discover the best diets for different dinosaur species, and practice using the scientific method. Plus create several take home projects.

Ages 5—7 and 8—10
Get a "behind the scenes" look at how exhibits work and see how STEAM concepts are integrated. At each session, engage in guided exploration and hands-on experimentation based on a particular exhibit with our teachers. Create individualized experiences that allow STEAM concepts to be utilized both at home and at the museum using our unique set of resources.

Natural Resource Art: 1pm-2pm

Ages 4—5: Earthly Art
Create individual artwork using the natural world as inspiration. Explore different materials and techniques to produce a number of pieces, engaging the creative process and encouraging unique and sometimes messy works of art.

Ages 5—7 and 8—10
Let imaginations take the lead. Work collaboratively to create a group project that "upcycles" various natural resources into one finished product. Learn about the different uses and benefits of raw materials and invent new ways to use them.
