Whatever your age, The Children's Museum of the Upstate is a place of possibility where children and adults alike can explore, discover, imagine, pretend, and be anything!

All adults must be accompanied by a child. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We require one adult for every 5 children.

The museum is closed on Mondays during the school year, with the exception of certain holidays as noted on our calendar. The museum is open 7 days a week during the summer starting on Memorial Day until Labor Day.You can always see updates, events, and daily programming by visiting our calendar.

The museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

For the protection of the exhibitions and safety of our guests, we do not permit food, gum or drinks inside the museum or exhibit galleries. Don't forget that you can eat offsite ...our guests are also always welcome to leave the museum at any time and return the same day by showing their wrist bands to our admissions staff. TCMU currently does not have an onsite food vendor or dining. We know your little ones work up an appetite while learning and playing at the museum - which is why we are making it a priority to find a new in-house food option quickly, that best meets the needs of our visitors!
