Whatever your age, The Children's Museum of the Upstate is a place of possibility where children and adults alike can explore, discover, imagine, pretend, and be anything!
All adults must be accompanied by a child. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We require one adult for every 5 children.
The museum is closed on Mondays during the school year, with the exception of certain holidays as noted on our calendar. The museum is open 7 days a week during the summer starting on Memorial Day until Labor Day.You can always see updates, events, and daily programming by visiting our calendar.
The museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
For the protection of the exhibitions and safety of our guests, we do not permit food, gum or drinks inside the museum or exhibit galleries. The Café at TCMU now offers a self-service market selling sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and coffee. Machines except credit and debit cards only, no cash.
