Introducing... TCMU Clubhouse: live online classes for children ages 4-18

Led by our skilled education team, children are welcome to join a small group of students their age via Zoom or Google Hangout to explore a range of topics.

Students should register for the age group of the grade that they completed during the 2019-2020 school year, no children older than 18 years of age.
 

4K and 5K Students

Tea Party Extravaganza: Preschoolers and kindergartners will have lots of elegant fun during these virtual tea party sessions. We’ll work on creating characters with silly names, practicing tea-party etiquette, planning costumes and set-up and then end our last session with a fabulous tea party with stuffed animals. This instructor has degrees in Child Development and Performing Arts. 4 sessions; 30 minutes each 6/2, 6/4, 6/9, 6/11 at 5:00pm $20 (members); $24 (non-members) Register Now
All the Feels: Join us for some social-emotional learning as we learn about different feelings, what they feel like in our bodies and how to process and manage them appropriately. We’ll also make a calm-down kit with household items for those times when feelings are especially hard to handle. This instructor has a degree in Child Development and specializes in ages 3-5. LEGO Creativity Club: If you like LEGO, this club is for you! Open to all skill levels, come together to socialize, participate in challenges, collaborate on new ideas and share your masterpieces. Singing Story Time: Join our TCMU musical theater teacher for an introduction into movements, new instruments and sounds through storytelling. Eco Crafting: Get in touch with nature and creativity at the same time, while using materials you can find outside you home! Sign Language for Beginners: Have you ever wanted to learn American Sign Language? Hangout with an instructor in a small group each session to learn basic words, greetings, colors, numbers and the alphabet to start your journey into a new language! Instructor learned ASL both at home with family members who are hard of hearing, and in courses in college. 3 sessions; 45 minutes each Wednesdays 6/24-7/8 $23 (members); $27 (non-members) Register Now

Club Chef: Learn the basics of cooking and create your own edible masterpieces! We’ll start with the basics: types of cooking, utensils 101 and different types of cuisines. Charcoal Art: Using a reductive method, we will explore different types of charcoal, how to use the contrast of black and white to create depth by blending and layering and how to frame your subject within a piece. Crochet a Coozie: Have you been wanting to learn how to crochet or to make something you can use? Join this one-time class to learn how to make a cup coozie. Animal Crossing Club: Are you as obsessed with Animal Crossing as we are?!? As a small group, travel to each other’s islands to exchange materials, recipes and clothes. Gain inspiration and insight behind the designs and terraforming of each location. Virtual Book Club: Students at Hogwarts Experience: Calling all wizarding world fans to join us in reading exciting chapters in the first book of the series, Sorcerer's Stone, as we bring the magic of Hogwarts to life. Write-On Creative Writing: You have a voice that needs to be heard! Work on developing your unique stories and share them in a small group setting. Neighborhood Heroes (Immersions for Spanish): Meet to learn how you can make a difference while honing your Spanish skills! We’ll identify the needs of the community, set goals and create action plans. We’ll then work together on an individual project that focuses on helping the needs of the community. Throughout the sessions, We’ll share progress, brainstorm, and reflect on what we’ve learned. Neighborhood Heroes (for Spanish Speakers): ¡Reúnete para aprender cómo puedes marcar la diferencia mientras perfeccionas tus habilidades en Español! Identificaremos las necesidades de la comunidad, estableceremos objetivos y crearemos planes de acción. Luego trabajaremos juntos en un proyecto individual que se centre en ayudar a las necesidades de la comunidad. Kintsugi Art: Don't freak out when you break something special! Learn about the Japanese art of Kintsugi and embrace the flaw as something stronger and more beautiful during this one session course. The instructor grew up as an Army Brat and has lived all over the world.
