Filling out a birthday party request form is not a reservation. The Sales Team will contact you at their earliest convenience Monday through Friday to confirm the date and time of your party. No parties will be booked on Saturday or Sunday. Birthday parties must be booked and paid in full at least 3 weeks in advance: otherwise, we cannot assure that you will get your preferred time and date. Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Payment must be received the same day when adding on additional items or catering options. Parties cancelled with 31 days’ notice will be refunded minus a $50 fee. Any parties cancelled within 30 days will not receive a refund. You will have the chance to reschedule your party (subject to availability). Once you have booked your party, you must share your guest list with us using the form found on our website: [http://www.tcmupstate.org/guest-list-form/]. If you do not, we will ask you to fill out a form upon arrival, or greet each guest as they arrive. Your party may not begin until we have your invitation list. This helps us ensure that you are not charged for any extra adults or children who accompany your invited guests.
TCMU is located at 300 College Street in Downtown Greenville. You may park in the Heritage Green Parking Deck located behind the Hughes Main Library. This is a paid city parking deck ($.50 per half hour or maximum $4 per day). They accept cash, credit and debit. Party families and guests may NOT park in the employee and handicap lot behind the museum without a handicap parking permit. They will be towed. You will be greeted by Birthday Party Staff either inside the Main Entrance or by Admissions at the Front Desk where you will check-in, receive wristbands and maps, and drop off any party supplies or gifts. Some families choose a spot to meet before the party in order to have shared playtime in the museum before their time in the party room. We recommend this option as it encourages guests to arrive on time. Any adults arriving without children must be greeted at Admissions by an adult from the party family. Any party guest whose arrival occurs after a party has ended is allowed into the museum only at the discretion of the Manager on Duty (MOD) and the host family. If your party guests will be late, please alert the MOD or Birthday Party Guide. Once your time in the party room has ended your cart will be taken to the check-in area until you are ready to leave. The carts will be surveilled by museum staff, but please do not leave any valuables on them.
Your guest allowances may be found in your confirmation email. Please inform the Birthday Party Coordinator if you plan to have additional guests. You may add on extra child guests at a rate of $14 per child in the Star and Super Star Party Packages (max 7) and $20 per child in the Mega Super Star Party package. No additional child guests are allowed in the Little Star Party Package. If extra adults come, they will be responsible for the admission fee unless you tell us otherwise. We design our party packages to provide you with the optimal party experience, so inviting additional guests is discouraged. If you do invite additional guests, please keep in mind that adults may be asked to stand outside of the room if capacity is reached.Thank you for sharing your guest list with us to ensure this does not become an issue.
No outside food or drink is allowed, except for birthday cakes. We have a diverse selection of catering options; please consult the list of add-on items available.
