The Chocolate Soiree is the signature community and fundraising event supporting the Children’s Museum of the Upstate. Historically, 500 patrons attend the Soiree, and dozens of local businesses lend their support to this evening of cocktails and dancing, live auction, musical entertainment and more.
The Chocolate Soiree highlights the work of some of the best local chefs in the prestigious Chocolate Competition. Chefs showcase their talent in creating delicious desserts featuring what else, but chocolate. Guests delight in sampling each creation throughout the evening.

The Hunt for Treasure!
TRAVELING EXHIBIT: Now through June 2nd
Explore the intrigue and excitement of treasure hunting and learn about shipwrecks, geocaches, treasure hunters, tools for hunting treasure and how to look for treasure close to home.
This fun exhibit has four themes: sunken treasure, buried treasure, metal detecting and the modern treasure hunt.
The hands-on activities throughout the exhibit allow visitors to use metal detectors, dress like a pirate and hoist a pirate flag, crack a safe, experience a coin rub and other virtual elements that make it fun for all ages!
